If there are 3 things that we love most about the fall and winter, it’s snuggling up next to the fire during those long cold nights, pecan pie and knitwear. No matter if it’s sweaters, cardigans or ponchos - as long as it’s cozy and warm - we’re sold- especially if you wrap up in a cosy scarf too.
In this article, we are sharing some of the best knitwear for plus size that we are loving for Fall 2019. Which one is your favorite look?

What's the best knitwear material for curves?
Wool
For a super warm and snuggly fit, look for pure wool knits. Acrylic, polyester or nylon may be cheaper but the real deal is a whole lot warmer. If it's super soft woolies that you want, look out for merino wool, alpaca or cashmere. Wool is gorgeous on curves and will suit every body type.
Acrylic
A lot of knitwear that is actually affordable is probably going to be made out of acrylic or at least contain a large percentage of it. Acrylic is basically like a wool alternative but unlike wool, it’s not a natural fiber, so it’s not biodegradable. Depending on the quality of the fabric, acrylic can cling to your body so make sure to check the quality before purchasing.
Polyester
You’ll find polyester used a lot in plus size knitwear as polyester’s elasticity gives it a bit of stretch. It's a great material for plus size knitwear because the stretch allows versatility and helps to make knitted fabrics more flattering.
Nylon
If acrylic is like wool then nylon is like merino. It’s really soft and nice to wear and is used a lot in fine knits. We love nylon for curves.
Cotton
Knitwear made from cotton or cotton mix fabrics are soft, fine or chunky knits that are biodegradable and, if made from organic cotton, are sustainable too.
Amber and VANILLA Wool-Blend Poncho - Navabi
This plain, block color poncho from amber and VANILLA is available in navy, black or anthracite (dark grey). We love it for layering up your look on a cold crisp fall day. Shop plus size ponchos here.

Feelin’ Raw About It Open Front Cardigan - Soncy
It’s all about the raw edges in this Soncy cardigan. The cute baby pink cardigan has an open front and pockets. So good for an everyday casual look and super flattering too. Style it with leggings or jeans and white sneakers.
Plus Camel Batwing Sweater - Pretty Little Thing
Pretty Little Thing’s Batwing Sweater is available in both black or camel. The loose fit sweater with a crew neck is so versatile; style it with chinos or trousers for a smart style or with jeans or leggings and boots for an off-duty look.
