Best Workwear for Plus Size and Pregnant

When you are plus-size and pregnant, oversized tees and sweatpants can quickly become your go-to uniform. Sure these are super comfy but they aren't always the best choice for creating a polished workwear style. We’re sharing our top tips of maternity work clothes that are sure to make you feel like a BOSS in the office and be sure to check out the collection at the bottom of the page.

Tops

Unless they are super super stretchy, it may be time to put your button shirts at the back of the closet for now and instead choose blouses and tops in an empire line or with a peplum. These have a fitted bodice and a relaxed, flowing base giving you a super cute look that is also very comfortable for wearing 9-5.  Choose longer length tops to accommodate your bump as your tummy grows and wear with maternity jeans or tailored trousers.

Pleated midi skirts

The midi skirt is a feminine must-have for your workwear wear attire and we are loving the pleated skirt trend . Look for styles with an elasticated waistband for a comfortable yet stylish look. Pair with a relaxed fit tee or blouse, open front knit and ankle boots. For a more fitted look choose a pencil skirt, but you’ll want to make sure that it  has plenty of stretch and has a pull-on style..

A-line dresses

An a-line or babydoll dress can be a great transitional option to take you from office to dinner at any time, including when you’re pregnant.  We love these dresses for bringing some feminine flair to your wardrobe. They have a more fitted bodice which then flares into a fuller skirt - great for accommodating your growing bump. Look for dresses in lightweight and breathable fabrics, especially for the warmer months. Dresses with a shirred bodice will give you maximum flexibility in the bust whilst still maintaining a put together look.

Tunics

Functionality and comfort are key when you are looking for maternity work clothes and that’s why we love a tunic. These loose fitting garments can be dressed up for the office with the right accessories, like a cute scarf or long pendant necklace, and leggings or jeans.

Wrap dresses

Is there ever a time when a wrap dress is not a great wardrobe option?

Wrap dresses are stylish, sophisticated and great for workwear and this is so true for plus-size pregnancy. This versatile style of dress which is ideal for transitioning from day to night offers you flexibility in how you wear it whilst still always looking on point!

When it comes to choosing the best maternity work clothes, flexibility is key as you want to be able reach peak comfort at all times without compensating on style. Check out our collection to see our top picks of the best workwear for plus size and pregnant.
