How To Dress Boho in Your 30s

At Insyze we are big believers that fashion is for everyone and that you can wear whatever style or trend you’re into no matter what your size, shape, race or gender identity. Of course this is also true when it comes to age so whether you are in your 60s, 50s, 40s or even in your 30s you can rock whatever style you want to,  including that gorgeous plus size boho dress that you’ve had your eye on.

What may change as you get older (and wiser) is how you style those fashion trends. So let’s take a closer look at how to dress boho in your 30s.

Fashion-wise when you hit your 30s you ( probably) know what you like (and what you don’t) so when it comes to trying out new fashion styles, you want to make it your own.

For more top tips on boho styling check out our posts on how to dress boho style and we answer the question, is boho chic still in style?

The Perfect Blouse

This is great everyday boho style for your 30s that's super versatile and easily transitions from day to night. Pair a peasant blouse with your favorite pair of jeans and espadrilles for a casual off-duty style or for a more business-casual vibe swap for loafers and tailored pants.

Choose Block Colors

Solid colors in romantic styles are a perfect way to make the boho look your own. Choose a bold red saddle bag with fringe detailing for a pop of color or try a yellow fedora for a bright way to accessorize.

Maxi-mise your style

Maxi dresses are a boho style must-haves. They are effortlessly chic and we love styles that were made for twirling. Wear with gladiator sandals and a floppy sun hat for a carefree vacation look or wear with booties and a fedora and a chunky cardigan in the colder months.

When you choose a floaty look like a maxi dress or skirt we recommend pairing it with something that is more structured like a handbag, tailored jacket or blazer.

Say Yes To The Kimono

Cover up with a kimono or add the perfect finishing touch to your boho style. Choose a lightweight kimono in bold patterns like paisley, ikat or floral for a statement look that is perfect for a music festival or vacation vibe.

Layer up with slouchy cardigans

Dressing boho in your 30s can be a super fun way to play around with textures and patterns to find your style and the slouch cardigan is a perfect piece for layering your style for all year round. Helping to keep you warm in the winter months while also being the perfect cover up when the sun goes down in summer.

Choose oversized, slouchy cardigans in chunky knits to compliment your boho pieces from maxi dresses, peasant blouses and flared jeans.

How has the way you dress changed with age? For us, as we get more confident in our bodies we are definitely getting more experimental with our style but boho chic always has us coming back for more and we love that there are so many ways that we can style this trend in ways that are - dare we say - ‘age appropriate’.
