When to start wearing maternity clothes.
Whilst you might notice that your ‘straight sized’ friends are reaching for maternity clothes and their tummies expanding at the merest hint of having a baby on board, for us plus size peeps, it can take much longer for us to have a visible bump.
This can mean that you can keep wearing your normal clothes for a lot longer.
When you start wearing maternity clothes totally depends on your pregnancy. For some this can be 10-12 weeks or even in the second trimester.
The timeframe can also really depend on the styles of clothes that you like to wear. If you literally live in your jeans then you may find that buttoning up the fly starts to become uncomfortable a couple of months in telling you that its time to invest in a pair of maternity jeans or even a belly band. But if yoga pants and maxi dresses that have a much more relaxed/loose fit are more your vibe, it may be a whole lot longer into your pregnancy before you reach for your maternity styles.
