H&M to revise sizing

Have you heard the news InSyders? H&M are revising the sizes of their clothing in the UK.

After years of customer complaints, it was announced earlier this week that the Swedish retailer was going to make their UK sizes bigger to fit in line with the countries size guidelines.

Yes, finally!

H&M Plus Sizes

We know that we are not the only ones who have been struggling with H&M sizes as you only have to look to social media to see hundreds of complaints about the inconsistency of sizing. With some customers having to go up, not just one but sometimes 3 or 4 sizes when they shop at H&M.

A guide to H&M sizes

In the past, the conversion between UK and European sizing at H&M has got a bit confused. A European size 44, which in most shops is a size 16, was an 18 etc but now a 16 will be a 16, an 18, an 18 and so on.

Sadly, they are not the only high street retailer with a sizing issue.  Zara, River Island, New Look and many others have also faced complaints about the inconsistency of sizing across their own ranges.

We’re so glad to hear that the affordable retailer is listening to their customers and finally fixing their sizing issues but we have to ask, what took them so long?
